Pedigree Reproduction offers South African stallion and mare owners a wealth of international experience in the equine breeding.

The stallion station and laboratory are run by Aileen Papenfus. Aileen lived and work in the European breeding industry for over ten years. Seven of those years were spent managing the UK's largest and most successful stallion centre. She has handled and collected from over 400 stallions of various breeds, ages and sizes, including numerous international champions and Olympic stars, and worked with the semen of over 1000 stallions - fresh, chilled and frozen.

The same levels of service excellence that make stallion stations in Europe a success are now available to South African breeders through Pedigree Reproduction.

For stallions

The Pedigree Reproduction stallion station, is the first of its kind in Southern Africa. Using the latest technology and techniques we offer owners of stallions - of any breed, size or discipline - a bespoke breeding service. From semen freezing and fertility testing to the handling of the day to day stud duties, as a stallion owner you can rest assured knowing that your stallion is given the best oppertunities to succeed as a sire of potential stars and future champions!

We also have ambitions to take the South African equine global and plans are already in motion to be able to freeze semen for international export!

For mares
We are very proud to share facilities with the outstanding Rivendell Stud and Karin Koep. Whether you choose to place your mare in the expert hands of Karin and use fresh semen or keep your mare closer to home and have chilled or frozen semen shipped to her, you can feel comfortable knowing all semen that is collected at Pedigree Reproduction is tested thoroughly. We strive to provide the best possible semen from your chosen stallion.
